Groups, Teams, Leagues and Events

The website and its database support one-time and ongoing groups and events like tournaments, leagues, committees, service groups, etc. Once the club manager creates a group and assigns a leader, the leader is able to manage the group membership, schedule events and reserve club facilities. Members can signup, view group information, and update their own schedules.

Each group is assigned its own private set of pages in the club website. Those pages are only accessible by group members. Numerous functions are built in to the web site to allow the group leader to maintain the group's membership, its schedules, communication with members and if desired its results. The group pages are fully under the control of the group leader.

Once a group is established, the website page describing the group will include a Participate button. Prospective members can join by pressing the Participate button to be taken to the signup sheet. Members can press the Participate button or use a link on their personalized interests lists to enter the Group's private section of the website.

Groups can be public or private. Public groups typically display a page in the main club website describing their purpose and encouraging prospective members to join by signing up using the website. Private groups typically do not have a page accessible directly through the club site and may solicit membership by email or word of mouth.
