The Aurora Spring "Crawfish on the River" Tennis tournament is a mixed doubles tournament open to members and our guests. This year we are using a double elimination format that assures everyone 2 matches. USTA rules for matches and tiebreakers will be observed. Play starts on Friday evening with our first match and Margarita Party. We play up to three matches Saturday, wrapping up with our big Crawfish boil and pool deck party starting at 6 and going until it is done. USTA rankings will be used to establish mixed brackets at the 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0 levels. You may register with a partner or allow the committee to help you find one. On Saturday at 6pm a traditional New Orleans Crawfish Boil catered by ZZZ and with entertainment by YYY will be held around our pool deck. Register just for the party if you prefer. Register online, use the printed registration form or contact the organizers, Leo Selico or Lisa Fox. Notices and confirmations will be sent by email. This year PayPal is being used to collect tournament fees or you may pay in person. Registration includes two days of tennis and the crawfish boil. Tickets for just the crawfish boil are available. Crawfish or Crayfish? At Aurora we prefer the phonetic spelling and would never be caught publicly saying "cray fish." |
